The natural outdoor environment has the ability to bring classroom learning to life, promote sustainability awareness and create unforgettable outdoor learning experiences for your students.
 

From hunting for dung beetles in cow pats and holding ladybirds, to learning about flowers and the role of trees in helping our environment, visiting a farm can have a life-long, transformative impact. Not only on a child’s relationship with nature, but in relation to future food choices as they become better able to understand the connections between farming, climate, nature and health. We like everyone that visits our classroom to get hands on with the soil to understand how important it is for growing nutritious food.

Science topics like adaption, plant and animal life cycles, habitat, materials, seasonal change and species identification are all demonstrated in abundance on our organic, nature-centric farm. Art is a wonderful way for children to engage with learning and we link together art, nature, science and history in practical, fun exercises in our on farm classroom.

As a Beacon Farm with the The Sustainable Food Trust, we are delivering curriculum linked, outdoor learning experiences developed in partnership with The Harmony Project - so you can be assured your visit is well planned and meets your curriculum objectives. In addition, we are more than happy to work with you to create a day that fits around the topics you are covering at the time.
