If you are travelling from further afield, you can stay on the farm at our lovely campsite by booking a luxury tipi, or tent pitch (we don't have pitches for camper vans I'm afraid). Fashion as a Force for Nature: Farm Tour for Sustainable Fashion Week

Visit Great Cotmarsh Farm in Wiltshire to experience how fashion can be a positive force for nature.
 

To celebrate Sustainable Fashion Week we are hosting a farm tour to connect fashion stakeholders - everyone who wears, buys, designs or makes clothes - to how rooted in soil a healthy fashion system should be.
 

This event offers a unique opportunity to get inquisitive about where clothes really come from, how natural fibres are grown, how dyes are created, and to see real life examples of doing things differently within the UK.

We will start off in our beautiful classroom space, with a short presentation of how our organic farm grows food and fibre in partnership with nature, putting soil health and nature at the heart of our business. By connecting with the soil, you will gain a new perspective of what true circularity looks like, particularly in the face of an ever shifting climate and demand for new cradle-to-cradle models around fashion design.

The day will continue with a tour of Cotmarsh Tannery CIC - the UKs only micro-scale veg tannery producing leather from fully traceable cattle hides and a look around our botanical dye garden, which is used to add colour to our knitwear brand 'Katie Cotmarsh' as well as provide a source of natural dyes for our educational programme. After lunch there will be a farm tour where you can meet their sheep and possibly cattle (depending on where they are grazing) and learn about some of the activities happening on the farm around tree planting, pond creation and how we are working to create wildflower meadows.

Join us on Sunday 4th October from 11:00am to 3pm, to make a deeper connection between clothing and the land.

There will be tea and coffee but do bring a packed lunch.
